"Still Death, Still Dying"
A lonely midnight stroll through the woods, the moonlight casts just enough light to guide the path. You see the path whic is creeping fog that you must follow. It leads your way, alongside crickets & toads, lightning bugs, and rustling leaves. After ten minutes or so, you hear more than the sounds of nature. There is a high chime. Is it an echo of a creature? No, it is something unnatural. It is a song, a cry from another place. Follow it. It grows louder, more distinct. It calls to you. Whatever path there was is hindsight. The chime is crystal clear now, and a light grows in the distance. It appears to blink in white and gold. You've reached the chiming light, and it beams from within a human skull sitting on the ground beside the woodland ferns and a pinecone. It is silent now. You have been found. Do you pick up the skull or leave it be and return home?
